Pig in Dreams

Pigs are generally smart animals associated with indulgence. Dreaming about pigs is an indication or reinforcement your current success in business life and opportunities. Go pamper yourself with a night out in the town for the overall positive dream of pigs.

We often dream of pigs in dreams. This meaning is that our unconscious self is afraid of us getting fat or being a pig. It represents our low self-esteem and fears of being successful. A pig in dreams also signifies a person’s greed, a person’s trust issues, and the need for money.

  1. In my dream, I’m not home but visiting different places from where I grew up. I’m not in the most comfortable position as I see myself travel through streets, jungles and mountains.
At one point in my dream I’m visiting an old cousin who lives in the country side in poor conditions with his family. They have animals around the house. They insist to show me this pig, the kids take me to the pig. The pig is clean some what slender but healthy. The kids play with it, and ask me to join them. We are now playing with the pig inside a camping tent. Later the locations start to shift from place to place. The pig is there with me I pet the pig from time to time, later I find myself talking to the pig as if it was the only one who understood me in the dream. I would say, lets go pig and the location in the dream would change. I grow fond of this pig as he was very smart. At one point im sitting on a street curb with the pig resting on my lap. A group of teens (school kids?) passed by and call me farm boy. I don’t get irritated but I approach them in a friendly way. We talk for a bit, some of the kids pet the pig while others talked to me. During the whole dream people would say, “you are not from around here? Aren’t you.” I even visited my parents house and seemed in disarray. I see my mom cutting vegetables in the kitchen and my dad seems to be totally disorganized (which he isn’t). The pig says to me lets go. I go to a place that looks like a sunset, the is black, reflective and shiny. I see lots of people walking, like nomads they look like Neanderthals, they are carrying packs as if they were all moving from place to place. Shortly afterwards I wake up.
Now this may seem a weird dream (I don’t do drugs) but I never had this type of context in my dreams, nevertheless a smart pig as what appeared to be a guide. Some feedback would be nice.

  3. I had a dream the other night of a dead pig that was skinned. Someone was slicing the pig exactly in half verticaaly down the center of the pig with a huge knife. It was not bloody or anything just a clean slice that seperated the dead pig in half. I had a very similar dream years ago of a dead tiger, it was not skinned though, being sliced in half in the exact same way. I can’t get the image of the pig out of my mind and the dream was a few days ago. Anyone have any insight on what this could possibly mean?

  4. So I had this disturbing dream about a dead pig…I walk into my bedroom and there’s a dead pig on my bed. As I get closer I notice that the animal is slaughtered and its blood is covering the floor, in fact there is so much blood that my feet are sticky, there are also swarms of flies…I feel sick and I wake up…My dream was so vivid that I still can smell the blood and have periodical flash backs…is this a bad omen ?

    • EVERY time I have a nightmare about having to slaughter a pig my daughter (under 2yrs old) wakes up screaming bloody murder. If I slaughter it, my daughter will cry herself back to sleep, but if I let it live she will need a good while and effort to go back to sleep.
