Birds in Dreams

Birds in flight are a sign of prosperity to the dreamer. Flying is often associated with feelings of freedom, liberation from weight of responsibilities. Birds are never limited by their surroundings. When the seasons change, they migrate to warmer parts of the hemisphere that’s better for them.

The meaning is derived from the meaning of birds in dreams. There are several explanations like that birds represent your aspirations, you can feel free, and even more liberated.

If you see yourself surrounded by flying birds on your dream, then this might be our subconscious taking away the symbols and stress we suffer in our everyday lives. Birds are always shown to be far up on the sky, enjoying and living with total freedom.

When you have this dream, it always means that you need to loosen your grip a little bit more and fly high into the sky.

In death and funeral urns, birds often represent someone who is looking up to heaven from above, welcoming the spirit of their passed loved ones like an angel.

  1. A nest fell from the tree with two in it. My sister brought them in, and we got a ladder and (since no one else would) I put them back. I was cold and terrified of birds, so I placed them in a hurry. I then went to sleep, and had a nightmare a very large mother of the two birds knocked on my door. I answered, and she yelled that I had killed her babies by not being more careful when placing them in her nest. The mother bird then pecked my eyes out.

    • Melody, the mother bird in the dream is symbolic of your own mother. The mother bird is attacking you because she is upset with you for not taking care of yourself or being more careful to small animals in general. If you learn to put more effort into caring for others, then everything will be fine.
