Leaves in Dreams

Red, brown, and orange leaves laid sprawled on the ground as the last glimmers of fall faded away with the nearing of winter. They fall in order to make room for period of barrenness and eventually, the period of rebirth. Thus, dreaming about leaves may symbolize that change is near and you seek advancement in life. You shed away the old and start anew to improve upon yourself. Leaves falling and then regrowing in the spring is symbolic of death, rebirth, and growth. Although you may have fallen and underwent a period of solitude, ultimately, you will absorb knowledge and be reborn. This will be your period of transformation.

Leaves in your dream may also symbolize contentment and openness towards others. They can be indications of various aspects in your life due to their varying colors.

However, to see only brown and withered leaves in your dream, it symbolizes that you feel hopeless and lost. The plain brown color shows that you feel stuck in phase of forlornness. To rid yourself of this, try to change your outlook by seeing what is causing you to feel this way.

  1. I dreamt I was in an open place with leaves falling. I put my hands together and stretched them out to receive the leaves in my hands. Then I realized lots and lots of leaves were now falling direct from a hole created in the clouds into my hands. The leaves were green, dry and curled inwards. From those clouds also fell 2 very large aluminum pots and their lids. I was so happy in the dream and my sister was happily screaming at me “I told you it would happen”. What does the dream mean?

    • Oh my god, i had this exact dream this morning. I was holding hands with a boy, it felt warm and he helped me get on a boat. The boat was round and really small only two people could ride in it. He helped me get on it still holding my hand. Before we walked upto this place, which was a lake or a river, we had to cross a place with trees. The tree had orange leaves in it, the sun was about to set. Even the orange leaves were scattered in the ground and piled up.

  3. In my dream I was driving and stopped at a random house I saw people gathered at and they had bags of leaves in the back of a truck that were bursting open and they needed help with them. We shoveled the leaves into my vehicle. It was really random.

  4. Last night I dreamed that I went to shave my legs and had green leaves with very long roots growing from my legs instead of just hair. I had to pull the leaves from my legs!

  5. I dreamt that I had very vibrant green leaves coming out of the soles of my feet. I would pick one out and then another wound turn up. I kept on picking and picking them out one by one in amazement. They just kept returning after I picked one out, then another. It was so different than any other dream I ever had. What does that mean?

  6. In one of my dreams I had. The leaves were changing at a rapid speed. As pretty as it was I got curious and asked my mom ‘why are the leaves changing’ next thing I knew I was following a ghost gym teacher to a door. I go to open it. The teacher goes “good luck” and when I opened the spirits where dancing singing and I looked over at the teacher who was making out with his gf and say “it’s just like my dream”
