Ladder in Dreams

A ladder in your dream can have multiple meanings, depending on the context. The common phrase “ladder of success” may be one of them. If you’re climbing the ladder of success, your dream is about business, whether it’s starting your own, or achieving a greater value through income. This can be because you’re unsatisfied with your current status and want to achieve more.

A ladder in your dream can also be you yearning for something. A ladder is made up of many levels, and your dream can be representing you moving on through life passing many obstacles, and moving on one level at a time. This is a good dream because whatever the case is, it means progression and moving forward.

  1. I dreamed I was in a crowd in a city, being chased by some unknown danger – the crowd was scattering in every direction. At some store front, there was a ladder I tried to climb to an escape hatch overhead – but some reddish 10-foot-tall faceless giant pulled over the hatch so I couldn’t get up and through. Ducking from him, I ran around another building corner and saw a long tall metal ladder with hooks on the top end hanging from a fire escape in the alley – I climbed that, then the fire escape, helped a couple friends up, told them to pull up the ladder so the giant could not get it and climb after us. And when we got to the roof of the building, a feeling of such contentment came over me – I stopped at the threschold/edge of the building roof, just after crawling off the ladder, lying there on my side catching my breath, and blue skies were breaking through grey clouds. And the funniest part – I LOVE cats, and was told mentally that this ‘rooftop world’ was made by cats – one large female came over to me and rubbed her cheek on mine so affectionately! (*that part could have been one of my own cats actually rubbing a cheek on mine while I was sleeping.) I was so happy to be there. And I awoke.

    Talk about interpretation of dreams!
