  1. My dream was so vivid I had a sense of touch and feeling in it. It was breif but left me unsettled more than it should have.
It was like I was half asleep or maybe I was experiencing sleep paralysis again. Because I remember a vibrating, dizzying feeling around my forehead which is a sign of sleep paralysis for me.
Anyways, my toddler was in bed with me while I slept and I felt something tickling or crawling around the upper right side of my body. Thats when I started to feel the vibration in my head. It makes it difficult to move or wake myself up. My eyelids were heavy as I struggled to see what was on me.
I was able to shift my body to the side which stopped the crawling sensation I was feeling, so panic left my body.
And even though I wanted to see what was crawling I drifted to sleep again because I couldn’t fight it.
A moment later a noise woke me. My son was awake at the end of the bed in the middle of the night just sitting in the dark. I saw the Praying Mantis a few inches from my face. It was huge, the length of a ruler. But when I had turned my body it pulled the Praying Mantis apart.
I could only see the upper half of its body but it was still alive. Its antennae were touching my cheek. It was so vivid I could see the hairs on its body, but I had never seen another praying mantis like this one.
It didnt feel like the Praying Mantis was coming after me or trying to harm me.
But my instant reaction was to freak out and knock it off of me. So I flailed in bed and I cant tell if it was still a dream or real life at that point.
I dont know if my body jolted in real life but my son said “mom why did you do that?” I was so tired I couldnt respond more than a moan and went back to sleep.

I didnt immediately remember this dream when I woke. After a few hours it came back to me and I cant get it out of my head. I think it was some sort of message I am recieving from someone or something because Praying Mantises are one of the last things I would dream about. I barely even know what they looked like because I never saw one in real life and never learned about them.
But after this dream I could tell you everything about their appearance and what they feel like. Down to the shape of their head, the little hairs on them and their feet. I googled praying mantis and looked at different photos and found one that is the spitting image of the one I saw. Its creepy. I dont really know what I should be listening for now.

  2. So this guy I know had his head like infused with a giant, apocalyptic-looking praying mantis… Somewhere along in the dream he separated his head somehow but then the praying mantis ate him. It was super gory, different from your peaceful green praying mantis

  3. I dreamt that a praying mantis was on the ceiling over my bed. It fell from the ceiling onto my bed and then I knocked it off my bed and then I killed it with my flip flop. What could this mean?

  4. I dreamed I was in a situation where I needed to find a bathroom. The public bathrooms were disgusting. Every stall I went into had some sort of problem that made me look for another stall. This one stall had a praying mantis climbing up the toilet base.

  6. As I closed my eyes the other night it felt as if I immediately started to see a vision, or dream.. but I wasn’t yet sleeping. I don’t remember it in its entirety, but I do remember seeing two praying mantis hand-in-hand dancing around in a circle. It was a quick flash and I jolted awake, the kind of feeling when you dream you are falling and it jolts you awake… I felt a sense of fear or sadness for a moment. I figured it must have something to do with my life, as I very often have symbolic dreams with animals in them that mean something directly related to what I’m going through at that time. After finding the meaning online, and everything I am going through in my marriage now, I know this means it is truly the end. I’m so heartbroken, but we’ve been doomed from the start. My intuition has never lied about anything.

  8. I dreamed that I discovered a preying mantis borrowed in my left thigh with its head sticking out, there was no pain just a very slight discomfort while I was inside the house. I felt no fear nor was I alarmed. Later, as I was running around outside I noticed that it was slowly coming out of its borrow. I called my son over to see it, and even tried to delay its exit so that my son could see it coming out, which he did. My son and I saw the hole that was left in my thigh were the preying mantis was, it left unharmed and without event.
